McMillen named president, CEO of Division 1A Athletic Directors’ Association

Tim McMillen was recently named as the new president and CEO of the Division 1A Athletic Directors’ Association. He was placed by Glenn Sugiyama, managing partner of DHR International’s Sports Practice. McMillen is a former congressman and regent at the University of Maryland. He has given himself 45 days to establish a strategic plan for the association and is going to use that time to talk to athletic directors and establish a deeper understanding of their needs from a trade group. Immigration to North America and Europe from Latin America remains high, but a reverse migration is underway.
